Eyescapes
Eyescapes are a series of interactive installations focused on the human eye and supported through my relationship with the non-profit digital media arts center, Harvestworks in Manhattan. The installation series explores concepts of scales, motion tracking and multi-dimensional sensory environments. The objective of the works is to create responsive environment to facilitate an intimate self-awareness through scales of time and space.
The first installation was exhibited on April 1, 2011 in P.S. 12 at the Pratt Institute and featured a giant projected eye that would open upon entering the installation space and follow participants around the room blinking occasionally as a response to sudden movements. The projected eye would shrink to human size when participants approached the projection corresponding to depth of movement.
